The work distills a core of “walking”—the embodied abstraction of the Mongolian nomadic spirit, a universal and simple human act. Walking’s dynamics, drawn from daily life and Mongolian folk-dance elements, use various compositional methods to drive the structure. By traveling far, I gain a deep understanding of home.
Walking like a blade of grass
On the grasslands, on the Gobi
Between cities, between tectonic plates
Between spaces that can be felt yet cannot be fixed
Walking like a blade of grass
With my own slenderness, with my own smallness, with my own quiet, with my own energy
With bones of deep green
Fearless
Silent
Intense
From the heart, flocks of birds soar
Though clearly on a long journey, I am on a return
A long journey is also a return.
